Market Director
Howard Woo joined UBS Wealth Management in 2022 from Merrill Lynch where he served as the co-founding partner of his team while simultaneously serving in a senior leadership role. Howard is a founding member of Sequoia Partners at UBS. He has 24 years of experience in comprehensive wealth management and investments for ultra-affluent individuals and families, corporations, endowments, and foundations. He is responsible for equity manager construction, fixed income investing, alternative investments, and asset allocation.
Howard earned his degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of California, Irvine and is a native of Southern California. Howard holds the designation of Certified Private Wealth Advisor ® from the Investment & Wealth Institute and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor ® from the College of Financial Planning. He holds series 7, 63, 65, 3,31, 9, 10, and insurance licenses.
Howard is also dedicated to serving as a volunteer in community building organizations such as Habitat for Humanity where he served as Treasurer of the Executive Board. He also served on the Board of Directors for the UCLA Scholarship Fund and The El Sol Foundation. He lives in Orange County, CA with his wife and two daughters and enjoys gardening, art design, traveling and spending time with the family on the weekends.

Supervisory Officer
Alan Watson is the Market Supervisory Officer for the Pacific Desert Market. This is the same role he previously held with Greater LA Market upon his arrival with the Firm in February, 2016. Prior to his current tenure with the Firm, Alan joined the Firm from Morgan Stanley in Denver, CO. At Morgan Stanley, Alan was the Complex Risk Officer, and was primarily responsible for ensuring and supervising compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, assisting Financial Advisors in meeting their risk and compliance needs, and monitoring and managing the overall risk functions for the branch location/complex he was a part of.
Alan studied at Bellevue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and prior to his education, Alan spent four years serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Hopper out of Pearl Harbor, HI.
Alan has over twenty-three years of experience in the financial services industry; He began his career as a New Accounts Specialist with Kirkpatrick, Pettis, in Omaha, NE. He was promoted to the position of Senior Operations Technician, where he was responsible for both trade and options balancing. Alan then joined the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter team as a Registered Sales Assistant before moving to Citi Smith Barney. While at Citi Smith Barney, he acquired the role of Operations Manager for the Orange, CA branch location, until it's closure in late 2009. In early 2010, he was promoted to Complex Risk Officer in for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Denver, CO.
When Alan is not working he enjoys spending time with his 8 year old son, taking on the occasional hike, playing a round of (bad) golf, catching a good movie, and watching college football.

Market Administrative Officer
Lynn Hunter serves as the Market Administrative Officer for the San Diego Market. Lynn has served in a variety of roles in the financial services industry, including Regional Business Initiatives Manager, Regional Operational Risk Manager, and Operations/Project Manager with Wells Fargo Private Bank, Business Service Manager, Complex Administrator, and Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator for La Jolla Trading/West Coast Options Fund and chartist and research analyst for Dow Theory Letters.
Lynn focuses on developing collaboration within teams. She enjoys helping Wealth Management Teams to meet service excellence standards by focusing on the importance of enhanced client-centric service, and by staying well-informed on the industry as it changes. A relationship-driven manager, she believes strongly in coaching people to find their strengths, identifying challenges and opportunities to grow, and ongoing mentoring. Very comfortable in the digital world, Lynn enjoys helping others move forward with new technologies, recognizing their value and how to manage interpersonal relationships using them, while at the same time respecting the roots and traditions of the service business. She works closely with team members to bring them up to the next level while running their businesses efficiently, effectively, and confidently.
Lynn was raised in La Jolla, California, and is a graduate of La Jolla High School. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and holds FINRA Series licenses 7, 9, 10, 66; NFA Series 3; and California Insurance License #0D05717. Lynn lives in La Jolla with her husband Jim, and enjoys the coastal lifestyle, kayaking, hiking, gardening and the practice of yoga and meditation.

Toma comes to us from Wells Fargo and has over 30 years of industry experience. She started her career with Dean Witter as a Client Service Associate and has since held numerous management positions in Risk Management and Operations. Toma has built her reputation on fostering strong partnerships with advisors and team associates. She prides herself on being an attentive listener who draws on her experience to find solutions that support both the advisors and the firm.
A resident of Irvine, Toma enjoys cooking, gardening and DIY projects in her free time.
