Experience

Roberto was appointed San Juan Market Head in September 2014. He sees his role as that of an enabler to his Financial Advisors and their clients, seeking to leverage all the resources UBS has to offer.

Roberto began his career in the financial services industry as an investment banker in 1992 at Lehman Brothers. In 1997 he moved to UBS also as an investment banker until 2010. At that point, he transitioned to the Wealth Management side of the Firm as Head of Puerto Rico Consulting and Wealth Planning Services. There, his team provided technical assistance and advice to many of the office’s best Institutional and Ultra High Net Worth clients.

Roberto earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Washington University in St. Louis in 1987, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1992. Roberto and his wife have two daughters, and live in San Juan.

Fernando was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is married to Maritza. They have a son, Fernando Jr., and a daughter, Michelle.

He graduated with a B.B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico and started his career with UBS in 1984 as a Financial Advisor. Since then, he has served in different managerial positions
including Trainee Coordinator, Sales Manager, Assistant Branch Manager and Regional Sales Manager. He presently serves as the Assistant Market Head for the Puerto Rico market,
assisting in overseeing all administrative and sales initiatives and day-to-day functions of the market.

In his 37 years with the firm, Fernando has helped with the training and development of many local Financial Advisors, and he continues to give them support and guidance. Out of the office, Fernando enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Jasmin is the Branch Office Administrator of the San Juan Market, where she is responsible for supporting the management team for the Wealth Management business. Jasmin has spent nearly 20 years of her career at UBS Financial Services serving various roles focused in Client Service and Administration.

Her responsibilities include supporting the Market Head, Market's Management Team as well as human resources, and administrative functions. She is also responsible for Leading the local Community Affairs efforts and overseeing local Sponsorships, Donations and Events.

Jasmin graduated from the University of Ana G. Mendez with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Social Work and recently passed the SIE exam. Jasmin is currently the Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Ambassador for the San Juan Market. Born in New Jersey and currently residing in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In her free time, Jasmin enjoys volunteering and serving the community, traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
