Jim currently leads the Newport Beach Complex for UBS Financial Services.  In his role, he serves Wealth Management advisor teams and their high net worth clients in Newport Beach, Seal Beach, and Manhattan Beach.

Prior to his current role, Jim led the Newport Beach and Seal Beach branches.  Jim also served as the Assistant Complex Director with UBS's Private Wealth Management Division in Southern California. He joined UBS from Morgan Stanley in 2013 where he was an Executive Director in New York working with institutional clients and HNW/UNHW clients and the advisors who serve them. Jim started his career at Smith Barney in 1999 in Menlo Park, Ca. Jim earned his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Fresno.

Ryan Hollaender is the Market Supervisory Officer for the Los Angeles Market. He is responsible for managing Risk and Supervision for the Market. He joined UBS in 2009 and has worked in the Beverly Hills, Century City, and Downtown LA offices. Ryan's management roles have included Assistant Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Complex Supervisory Officer and most recently Complex Administrative Manager.

Ryan graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business Administration. He was born in New Jersey and currently resides in Downtown LA. Ryan holds his 3, 7, 66, 9, and 10 securities licenses and is registered in all 50 states.

Susan’s 20-year tenure in the financial services industry is diverse; she spent ten years working solely with International Offshore clients with PaineWebber and later UBS International and Merrill Lynch before becoming an International Financial Advisor at Chase Investments and Oppenheimer & Co. She later returned to UBS, moving to the domestic side of the business, working with retail wealth management and most recently supporting the firm’s technology training and awareness. Susan is dedicated to supporting and developing her team and ensuring they can deliver the best experience to their clients. Outside of the office, Susan enjoys all manner of outdoor activities and going for drives in her classic Buick.

Elizabeth Metal is the Market Administrative Officer serving the San Diego Market and Newport Beach Branch of UBS Financial Services Inc.

In this role, Mrs. Metal is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the advisor teams in our six offices that make up the Orange County Market and $150MM in revenue, in addition to supporting the overall growth and footprint that the Orange County Market is responsible for delivering to UBS shareholders and the Orange County Community.

Mrs. Metal joined UBS Financial Services Inc. as a Complex Administrative Manager in October 2009. She held various roles within the firm including Regional Administrative Officer for the Southwest Region and Market Administrative Officer for the Los Angeles Market. Prior to joining UBS, Mrs. Metal spent 10 years with Merrill Lynch in Newport Beach where she started her career in the industry.

Mrs. Metal holds a BS in Business Administration Finance from California State University, Long Beach and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Dallas.

As a Southern California native, Mrs. Metal enjoys spending time outside the office with her family, husband Michael and young daughter Kaylin, playing sports, hiking, and relaxing at the beach.

Alan Watson is the Market Supervisory Officer for the Los Angeles/Orange County Market. This is the same role he previously held with Los Angeles Market and Orange County Market upon his arrival with the Firm in February, 2016. Prior to his current tenure with the Firm, Alan joined the Firm from Morgan Stanley in Denver, CO. At Morgan Stanley, Alan was the Complex Risk Officer, and was primarily responsible for ensuring and supervising compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, assisting Financial Advisors in meeting their risk and compliance needs, and monitoring and managing the overall risk functions for the branch location/complex he was a part of.
Alan studied at Bellevue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and prior to his education, Alan spent four years serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Hopper out of Pearl Harbor, HI.
Alan has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry; He began his career as a New Accounts Specialist with Kirkpatrick, Pettis, in Omaha, NE. He was promoted to the position of Senior Operations Technician, where he was responsible for both trade and options balancing. Alan then joined the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter team as a Registered Sales Assistant before moving to Citi Smith Barney. While at Citi Smith Barney, he acquired the role of Operations Manager for the Orange, CA branch location, until it's closure in late 2009. In early 2010, he was promoted to Complex Risk Officer in for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Denver, CO.
When Alan is not working he enjoys spending time with his 5 year old son, taking on the occasional hike, playing a round of (bad) golf, catching a good movie, and watching college football.

Richard Valle is a Supervisory Officer within the Los Angeles Orange County Market. He comes to the Market with 14 years of UBS and overall industry experience. Over the course of his career, he has held various leadership positions in Operations, as well as other Supervisory roles, most recently in the West Los Angeles Market. He enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and three children, including coaching his boys Little League teams, and traveling.
